Engine 327 is a Sedgwick County Fire Department 1991 Pierce Dash open
cab engine/pumper with a 600 gallon booster tank, 1250 GPM pump and
seating for 4 personnel. E-327 is last of a kind in the SCFD fleet
offering the pump and roll capability with a TFA setup. This Fire
Reserve engine was formally Engine 34 located at Station 34, 71st and
Grand (Haysville).
This engine/pumper has (2) 200' 1 3/4" preconnects located in the hose
bed featuring (2) combination nozzles. Underneath these preconnects is
another 100' of 1 3/4" hose for extension of the preconnect. E-327 also
carries the "bomb" load which is bundled hose pack configured with (2)
100' sections of 1 3/4" hose and combination nozzles attached to a gated
wye with 6' of 3" hose that allows fire attack teams to quickly extend
preconnect operations longer distances from the engine. E-327 has the
standard 700' of 5" hose and dual 3" beds with 1000' for water supply
and relay pumping operations. It also caries a ground monitor setup
which utilizes the deck gun mounted mid-ship on the apparatus. Dual 1"
booster lines are mounted midship, topside for overhaul and clean up
operations. In addition, this engine carries (2) sections of 6" hard
suction for drafting purposes where hydrant operations are not
practical. |
