House Fire 5900 N. West St.
Q13 gave heavy fire showing from a mile away. Q13 on scene advised they had heavy fire showing from the 2nd story of a vacant farmhouse, SCFD E33/WFD Q13 were fire attack, SCFD Q32 assisted with fire attack, SCFD TN32 was water supply, SCFD B32 took command, SCFD B34 was safety, SCFD TN32,33,37 and VCFD TN411 shuttled water.

Qualifications:
1. Must reside in Sedgwick County
2. Must be at least 18 years of age
3. Must be a high school graduate or have a GED
4. Must be capable of performing the vigorous activities of firefighting.
5. Must be avaiable for ALL Thursday or Friday night drill activities

The 5 Steps that everyone must go through to join the Fire Reserve:
- Candidate completes the online written application through HR

- Candidate attends an overview session that is conducted prior to the start of the recruit class.
- Candidates without CPAT certification will take and must pass our PAT. Failure to pass the PAT will preclude a person from joining this class. They may reapply for the next recruit class, starting with filling out an online application (Step 1 above)
- Candidates will be notified of acceptance into our recruit class. Class size will dictate how many candidates are selected from pool of candidates. Accepted candidates are then considered a recruit member of Fire Reserve and should start attending drills on a regular basis.
- Failure to pass or maintain an ability to pass background checks will result in termination WSCFR MAINTAINS THE RIGHT TO TERMINATE MEMBERSHIP ANYTIME DUE TO BACKGROUND CHECK FAILURES
