House Fire 5900 N. West St.
Q13 gave heavy fire showing from a mile away. Q13 on scene advised they had heavy fire showing from the 2nd story of a vacant farmhouse, SCFD E33/WFD Q13 were fire attack, SCFD Q32 assisted with fire attack, SCFD TN32 was water supply, SCFD B32 took command, SCFD B34 was safety, SCFD TN32,33,37 and VCFD TN411 shuttled water.

Saturday, March 3rd, 2010 Wichita Fire Department Captain Randy Scott and the crew from Station 3B conducted extrication training for the Fire Reserve. We appreciate their willingness to take time out of their day and share their knowledge with us. It all adds up to making a difference for the communities we serve and doing it safely. Wichita Sedgwick County Fire Reserve E-329 participated in Sedgwick
County Fire Chief's Regional Training exercise at Viola, KS on May 3,
2008.

contributors provide. Explanation of exercise as captured from the
Mulvane Emergency Services Web page:

"This was the first regional training exercise sponsored by the Sedgwick
County Chief's association. 10 departments participated in the drill.
Seven tenders hauled water, Bentley Tender 45, Conway Springs Tender 88,
Mulvane Tender 408, S/G County Tender 36, Viola Tender 65 & 651 and
Wichita Fire Tender 17. S/G County Engine 35 pumped the dump tanks to
Valley Center Engine 411, who supplied water to Wichita - Sedgwick
County Fire Reserve Engine 329.
Tenders resupplied at a dry hydrant one mile north of Viola, Conway
Springs 6 miles south and Clearwater 9 miles east."

2006 Roof Ventilation Training conducted by Wichita Fire Department
Captain Sid Newby with Fire Reserve. Captain Newby is center of picture,
front row kneeling. St. Francis of Assisi grade school made the building
available for fire department training. It was to be demolished within
the month. After the roof ventilation training was completed, regional
heavy rescue training was conducted for area departments. Walls and roof
were partially collapsed and props set for crews to train in different
disciplines.
